Grocer-y Privacy Policy

Grocer-y is built by BananaRhino Studios. Your privacy matters, and our approach is simple: we do not collect any of your data.

Data we collect
None. Grocer-y has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you create in the app — meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, budgets, and nutrition logs — is stored only on your device. We never see it, transmit it to our servers (we don't have any), or share it with anyone.

Network requests the app makes
Some features fetch public information from third-party services. These requests contain only what's needed to answer your query (for example, a search term or barcode number) and are never linked to your identity by us:

TheMealDB — when you search online recipes.
Open Food Facts — when you look up a food by name or barcode for nutrition tracking.
Kroger API — only if you choose to add your own Kroger developer key, to fetch live prices and stock. Your key is stored on your device only.
Each of those services has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle requests they receive.

Camera
If you use barcode scanning, the camera is used solely to read the barcode on-device. No photos or video are stored or transmitted.

Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes all of your data, since it lives only on your device.

Changes
If our practices ever change, we'll update this policy and the App Store privacy details before the change takes effect.
