What’s inside
The Speed Limit plug-in now ships with two drafting commands designed for everyday roadway plan production:
SPEED
Pick a roadway segment and place a clean, US-style speed-limit sign annotation (white rounded rectangle, black border, bold numerals). Leader on/off, annotation-scale aware, and standards-friendly layer/text mapping.
Typical workflow
- Run
SPEED. - Pick two points along the road centerline/edge.
- Confirm or enter the posted value (optional prompt) and place.
- Re-run to update/replace an existing sign when values change.
Key options
- Leader toggle (callout vs. standalone sign)
- Annotation scale & text height controls
- Layer and text style mapping to office standards
- Model or paper space insertion
ROADNAMES
Automatically label roadway names along alignments or polylines. Ideal for plan sheets, exhibits, and QA passes where consistent, readable street names matter.
Typical workflow
- Run
ROADNAMES. - Select one or more centerline polylines/alignments.
- Choose label placement mode (e.g., along-path, midpoint, or interval).
- Confirm text style/height, rotation/along-curve settings, and place labels.
Key options
- Along-curve or fixed rotation text
- Interval spacing and offset from centerline
- Case/format rules (e.g., “Main St”, “MAIN ST”, “Main Street”)
- Layer & text style mapping; annotation-scale aware
